Almost Famous Penny Lane Style
This week we have created a Fashion Soundtrack lookbook inspired by the character and music from cult film Almost Famous. The film was created in 2000 and won the 2001 Grammy Award for best compilation soundtrack for motion picture. The plot shows shy youth William Miller attempt a career in music journalism. Miller is warned off from friendships with anyone at the concerts but meets the “Band Aids” (music groupies) led by hippie Penny Lane (Kate Hudson). His adventure begins with a call from Rolling Stone magazine who require a feature on band “Stillwater” (fictitious). Throughout the drama Penny Lane remains the most adored by the band and critic Miller. Her free spirited style and personality has everyone captivated. So this week we have collected a few outfits from American site Nasty Gal and put together a lookbook of fashion and music from the film.
