Our track of the day goes to new found London talent Tev’n and his sexy track ‘Chasing Storms.’
Last month, two shimmering slices of off-kilter Rn’B arrived out of the ether in the form of “Rose Petal” and “Fallng Away”, the first previews of brand new material from North London bedroom producer Tev’n, and an indisputable star in the making.
Now, the whole scope of his lushly cinematic vision is unveiled with his full length “Solitude Mixtape”, which is bookended by “Rose Petal” and “Falling Away”. Spanning 8 tracks, this diverse collection careens from the skittering beats and distorted voices of “Chasing Storms” to the menacing hip hop of “These Virtues” to the queasy, Theremin-fuelled atmospherics of the instrumental “Premonitions”, creating a brilliant and daring patchwork that is as innovative as it is cohesive. This is but the first missive from a white hot talent on the rise; make sure you watch this space.
